Brie — Community Guidelines
Effective: September 29, 2026
Brie only works if people are real and treat each other well. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Use — breaking them can cost you your account.
---
Be yourself
- One person, one account. Your profile is you, not a character, a business, or a group. - Your photos must be of you, recent, and clearly show your face. No photos that are mainly someone else, no celebrities, no stock images, no screenshots of other people's profiles. - Be honest about your age. Brie is 18+, with no exceptions. - Don't impersonate anyone, including us.
Treat people well
- No harassment. No bullying, threats, intimidation, stalking, or unwanted persistent contact — on Brie or anywhere else. - No hate. No content attacking or demeaning people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, disability, or serious disease. - Take no for an answer. If someone stops replying, unmatches, or blocks you, that's the end of the conversation. Don't create a new account to reach them. - Consent matters everywhere. Consent is required at all times, can be withdrawn at any time, and is never owed to anyone. Sexual activity without consent is a crime.
Keep it clean
- No nudity or sexually explicit content in profiles or photos. - No unsolicited sexual messages or images. Ever. - No violence or gore, and nothing glorifying violence, terrorism, or violent extremism. - Nothing promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders. - Absolutely nothing involving minors. Any sexualised content involving a minor is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement, and the account is removed permanently.
Don't use Brie to make money
- No commercial activity. No selling, promoting, advertising, recruiting, fundraising, or driving traffic elsewhere. - No sex work or compensated dating. No offering or soliciting commercial sexual services, escorting, or "sugar dating" arrangements. Any indication of human trafficking is reported to law enforcement. - No asking for money. Don't ask other members for money, gifts, cryptocurrency, gift cards, investment, or financial information. If someone asks you, report them — see our Safety Policy. - No spam or scams. No phishing, no malicious links, no pyramid or investment schemes.
Respect privacy
- Don't share other people's private information — their address, phone number, workplace, or anything else. - Don't post someone's image without their permission. - What's said in a chat stays there. Don't screenshot and publish someone's messages or photos to embarrass them. Sharing intimate images without consent will get you removed and may be a crime.
Play fair
- No bots, scrapers, or automation. - Don't try to break, probe, or overload Brie. - Don't file false reports. Reporting is how we keep people safe; abusing it undermines that.

How we enforce this
We use a mix of automated tools and human review. Depending on what happened, we may remove content, limit features, suspend an account, or remove it permanently. Serious harms — sexual violence, threats, exploitation of minors, trafficking — result in immediate removal on the first instance, and we report to law enforcement where appropriate.
We consider behaviour on and off Brie where it bears on the safety of our members.
Reporting
Report any profile, message, or photo directly in the app, or email hello@itsbrie.com. Reports are confidential — we never tell someone who reported them. We aim to review reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Appeals
If we've removed your account and you think we got it wrong, email hello@itsbrie.com and tell us why. A person will review it.
